He's Just Glad To See Me....

David Tennant, the current star of Doctor Who, playing the 10th Doctor on BBC1 and BBC3, has taken my heart and refuses to let go. I have been slowly, but surely, becoming a rabid fan of the Russell T. Davies produced series which struggles to find a USA audience aside from cult followers. Damn that show called "Heroes" for stealing its thunder. For futher information about my interest in the new series, visit my Doctor Who Series 3 USA page(see in "Links").
Briefly, without getting too carried away here, I watched last nights' new episode("Sound of Drums") over the internet and I was a bit disappointed in the storyline, but more than pleased with Tennant's acting, as well as the sharp additions of John Simms("Life on Mars"), and the 2nd return episode featuring drop-dead gorgeous John Barrowman! The actors are reason enough to stay home on friday nights when series 3 starts on the SciFi Network, July 6th. Unfortunately, Sound of Drums was not the highlight of the season for me, what can you do but just be distracted by Tennant holding up a "Sonic Screwdriver"(above) and just except the other fluff without much judgement. When you watch the show, you need to suspend belief anyway and that's part of the charm....that and did I mention the male actors are extremely FANTASTIC! You'll never get me hooked on "Heroes" without a TARDIS or until Christopher Ecceleston(ex-9th Doctor) joins the cast...which ever comes first. However, my loyalty belongs to 10. You've been warned to not vote for Harold Saxon....
